TaleFin named a finalist in two categories at the 2026 Finder Awards.
We're proud to share that TaleFin has been named a finalist in two categories at the 2026 Finder Awards: AI Credit & Lending Innovation, and Lending Innovation.
The Finder Awards are one of Australia's most trusted independent awards programs, judged on merit rather than paid entry. Being shortlisted in two innovation categories is recognition of the approach we have been building: a modern, Australian alternative to the legacy credit file.
Both categories reward innovation in credit and lending, which is exactly where we have focused. TaleFin reads real financial behaviour from an applicant's banking, brings it together with bureau data, and returns a combined score in minutes. It means lenders can assess someone on their whole financial life, including the income, rent and everyday reliability a traditional credit file never sees, rather than on a narrow proxy. Being named a finalist for that work, twice, is a genuine encouragement to keep going.
Being recognised in two innovation categories is a real credit to the whole team. We set out to make credit decisions fairer and better informed by reading the data that actually describes how people manage money, and it means a lot to see that approach acknowledged by an independent name Australians trust.David Johnson, CEO, TaleFin
Winners are announced later in the awards program. In the meantime, our thanks to the Finder judges, and to the lenders and partners who back a better way to assess credit. You can read more about the awards and how they are judged on the Finder Innovation Awards page.
